You Choose the Charity. Practic Yoga needs your help in choosing our 2013 charity.
Founders Tazima Davis and Martita Meier are both really excited about being a business that cooperates and assists with non-profits and charities. One of the ways we wish to do that is to pick a charity every year that we monetarily support.
We will donate 1% of our gross profits (quarterly) to the charity that is selected.
The selected charities below were submitted by YOU ... please take a moment to vote!
Votes will accepted, and the winner will be announced January 15th.

CANCER FAMILY ASSISTANCE
A non-profit organization created to bring hope through financial support to single parents in the South Bay that are struggling with cancer. Our financial assistance program will help alleviate some of the financial stresses that comes with cancer treatments and raising a family. Each year there are 1.4 million new cases of cancer diagnosed, and some patients will actually have to chose between receiving treatment or not based on their financial means. Cancer Family Assistance is the only non-profit in California dedicated solely to these single parent families. If a parent chooses to fight for their life, they should be given the opportunity to do so. |
COMING OUT... OF THE REFRIGERATORThis organization supports Fight Eating Disorders, an independent national humanitarian organization that provides professional services to those who are suffering from eating disorders and are unable to afford medical (out or inpatient) support. F.E.D.'s decision to assist those in need is based solely on the candidate's location and accessibility of local therapists, nutritionists, doctors and support groups/centers that are available for each individual in that particular location. This site has been established as the outreach and support for those with eating disorders, so that they may find and share their experience, strength and hope. |
